The Astara Angels Charity was created to raise funds to build an Orphanage for the protection and education of abandoned Indian girls.  The Girls Home will be located in Rishikesh at the foothills of the Himalayas of India.

Astara Angels evolved from first hand observation of the fantastic work being accomplished by the India Heritage Research Foundation (IHRF) for young abandoned boys in Rishakesh.

There are thousands and thousands of abandoned and impoverished children living in India today, sleeping on the streets of the cities and the dirt paths of villages.

In recognition of this incomprehensible situation, the India Heritage Research Foundation has recently established a home for young abandoned boys.  These boys not only receive excellent education plus food and shelter, they also have something far more precious; true love and real hope for a better life.

One cannot imagine the horrendous circumstances that these young boys once faced. Not only were they orphaned and abandoned, they also often suffered terrible physical and emotional abuse.

The difference the home is making is immediately evident, however, due to cultural limitations, nothing is yet available for young girls.

Astara Angels intends to address this by raising enough money to build a similar home for the protection and education of abandoned Indian girls.  The Girls Home will be located in Rishikesh at the foothills of the Himalayas of India.
